Dr. Amanda Hess: After being injured from atop the cheerleading pyramid during an Autumn afternoon, I went home with low back pain thinking everything would be okay. Hours later when my mother returned home from work, I was unable to walk. I crawled to her in pain asking for help!

We managed to get myself into the car and went to Urgent Care. The medical doctor said, "Amanda, you sprained your back. Here's a shot to help you feel better as well as some muscle relaxers, pain medication, and an anti-inflammatory." Days later I was able to walk, but I was still in severe pain. I was not cheerleading nor attending my dance classes for an upcoming competition. Thankfully, my ballet instructor at the time was married to a chiropractor, and my mother scheduled me for an appointment.

Specific chiropractic postural x-rays were taken and immediately after my first specific scientific chiropractic adjustment, I felt improvement. In order for my injury to totally heal, it did require time and repetition. Being that I was only 15 years old, I bounced back quickly and was able to compete in the next dance competition. After completing a degree in biology from the University of South Carolina and interning for four years as part of a research team for bone marrow transplants at the Center for Cancer Treatments in Columbia, South Carolina, I knew that my mission in life was to not be part of the sick care industry plaguing the United States healthcare system. I moved to Atlanta, enrolled at Life University, and completed my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. I am blessed everyday to be a part of a profession that provides increased life and function to the body from Above-Down-Inside-Out.

Dr. Jeremy Hess: While playing collegiate soccer, I was injured during a routine game. I had severe pain in my left hip radiating into my groin. The Team Doctor prescribed me pain medication and muscle relaxers, but my pain was not going away. I began to get frustrated as I continued to sit on the bench at practice and games due to my injury. Thankfully, one of my teammates recommended a local chiropractor that he had been seeing. Within a short amount of time my hip and groin pain no longer existed. After about four months of corrective chiropractic care, I no longer had to use my asthma inhaler while playing soccer. The most fascinating change in my health happened when a bacteria that had been plaguing my right eye over the previous two years was alleviated. To this day I always remember my ophthalmologist saying, "Jeremy, I just can't understand why you have these bacteria only in your right eye and not in your left eye." I was so thankful to finally throw away my daily eye drop solution in the garbage after two years. I thought to myself if chiropractic could do all this for me then what can it do for everyone else?

The following summer I moved to Georgia and enrolled at Life University to complete my degree as a Doctorate of Chiropractic. I met my amazing wife, Dr. Amanda while we were both working second jobs to help pay for school and expenses. Hi! My name is Gabriel Paul Hess. I started principled chiropractic care while in my mother's womb. Mommy received regular maintenance chiropractic adjustments throughout her pregnancy to function at optimal health and make sure her pelvis was in alignment for the delivery. I was born on February 5, 2010, weighing in at 8lbs 2ozs. Mommy delivered me at our home. She woke up Daddy - Dr. Jeremy Hess at around 5am having contractions approximately 10 minutes apart. Daddy telephoned our midwife to come to the house. The labor progressed quickly as I was eager to be born. It was pouring down rain that Friday morning and Atlanta highways were extra slow with morning traffic and the weather conditions. Daddy almost thought that he was going to deliver by himself because the midwife still hadn't made it to the house when I was about to crown. Thankfully, the midwife's apprentice got to the house at 7:45am and was able to deliver me at 8:05am. Mommy did great. She had no drugs, no medical interventions, no perineal tearing, and minimal blood loss. It was the perfect birth.

My name is Alyssa Hess aka "Gabriel's big sister." I was born on April 11, 2007 at home. Daddy checked both me and my brother's neck and spine for nerve interference just hours after we were born. Even though everything appeared normal, Mommy and Daddy wanted to make sure that our nervous system's and spines were free of nerve interference so that we could start life in optimal health from Above-Down-Inside-Out. I am four years old now, and I have never had a vaccination or any type of over the counter or prescription medication. I have also never been to the pediatrician for any type of acute sick care.
