Did you know that chiropractic care has taken on many forms since the beginning of time? There are historical accounts from as far back as 2700 B.C., which mention spinal manipulation as a tool for better body function and improved comfort. For example, Hippocrates, a Greek physician born in 460 B.C., published texts, which addressed the importance of spinal adjustment. One of his writings stated, “Get knowledge of the spine, for this is the requisite for many diseases”.
This historical perspective is interesting. We’ve spent thousands of years trying to understand the human body and millions of dollars trying to find cures for diseases that strip us of our health and vibrant life. Meanwhile, principled chiropractors have been helping people heal naturally, the way God intended. Everything we need is innately available inside the body that God created.
Chiropractic adjustment removes interference and allows the body to function optimally, the way it is suppose to function. Ongoing adjustment is the body’s best defense against disease because there are a variety of factors that cause interference including: mental and physical stress, automobile accidents, falls and bumps, and sports injuries.
